Start your kids off young learning proper strength training, cardiovascular training, stretching, healthy nutrition and proper rest and recovery! Do not believe the myth that can’t cannot lift weights or Strength Train because it could stunt their growth, that’s complete non-sense!
Think for a moment – what was harder on me as an obese kid, having to try to do push-ups, pull-ups, and sit-ups in elementary school or would it have been easier on my joints, ligaments, tendons, bones, and muscles to start Strength Training with Lite dumbbells, gentle machines, Rubber bands, easy kettlebells, learning Lite proper barbell form, safer calisthenics, trying cable machines, and more?
My sons have been training with me since they were young and I’ve been training youth for Obesity, Weight Loss, and Sports Conditioning for 23 years without any issues!
Strength Training, Cardiovascular Training, Stretching/Flexibility, Proper Nutrition, and adequate Rest/Recovery are all what we should be teaching our kids from a young age and doing ourselves as adults!
