Never work any body part everyday!

Never ever work any muscle group or body part everyday. If your Trainer, Coach, or online plan has you doing squats daily, abs daily, push-ups daily, planks daily, curls daily, or any of the same workouts or exercises every day without rest then find a new Trainer, Coach, or plan!

Muscles, joints, ligaments, tendons, and bones have to heal, be fed, and recover to grow properly. Working the same body part daily risks injury, pain, stress fractures, sprains, pulls, micro-tears, breaks, and worse…so never work any body part everyday.

One of the most common problems I see with new clients and athletes is they have been told to run daily, do deadlifts daily, plank daily, step aerobics daily, squats daily, push-ups daily, pressing moves daily, bike daily, and if not daily 4-7 times a week leading to severe pain, injury, breaks, fractures, dislocations, pulled muscles, micro-tears, sprains, aches, etc.

Doing more is not better. Our bodies have to have adequate recovery time to perform at our best. A healthy body burns fat better, has less stress, has good muscle development, strong bones, and a healthier immune system.

Each body part may only need to be worked 1, 2, or 3 times weekly, with rest days in between, depending on personal goals, nutrition, and intensity.
